Course Summary:

This course has been designed as a refresher for trainees to be able to carry out People Moving & Handling techniques correctly and helping to prevent injury. 

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for those working in the care environment who has previously undertaken initial training. Candidates will practice tasks specific to their workplace. This course is also useful as an awareness course for new starters or temporary staff.

  • Hazards of moving people
  • People moving & handling techniques
  • Verbal prompting
  • Looking after your back

Successful candidates will be awarded the People Moving & Handling Refresher certificate valid for 3 years

Accreditation is provided by First Response First Aid Ltd

Assessment: Continuous assessment by the tutor

Prerequisite: Previous initial training

Suggested progression: Refresher training every 3 years
