Annual Refresher eLearning

The HSE strongly recommends that first-aiders undertake annual refresher training, over half a day, during any three-year certification period. Although not mandatory, this will help qualified first-aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up to date with any changes to first-aid procedures.

Face-to-face training would be the recommended route for annual refresher training however as this is not a mandatory course this eLearning option would, without doubt, benefit the learner and help reduce skill fade.

The standard Annual Refresher covers the following subjects:

  • Dealing with the unconscious casualty
  • Recovery positions
  • Choking
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator
  • Shock
  • Wounds / Bleeding

However, with eLearning, you can choose to refresh the skills in the whole subject instead of just the ones above; therefore, the content will depend on the course you are refreshing. If you want to do further training, please choose the relevant course from the below options: The costs are the same.

Learners can download the certificate once the course has been successfully completed.
